El
25 de noviembre de 1960,/
las
hermanas Mirabal,/
Patria,
Minerva y Mª Teresa,/
apodadas
'las Mariposas',/
murieron
asesinadas,/
en
República Dominicana,/
por
su osadía y valentía/
frente
al dictador Trujillo/.
'Siempre
vivas' era su lema/
y
con él nos animan y recuerdan,/
que
nadie 'dicte' nuestra vida,/
que
no nos ni dañen, ni nos roben,/
ni
nos maten ni cuerpo ni alma,/
que
no nos ahoguen en el silencio,/
ni
nos aparten de nuestros sueños./
¡Gritemos
un NO bien alto a la violencia/
rompamos
todas las cadenas,/
renazcamos
de nuestras cenizas,/
echemos
por fin a volar, libres...!/.

ResponderEliminarThis message is really touching and thought-provoking. Raising awareness against violence toward women is everyone’s responsibility. The courage of the Mirabal sisters and their “siempre vivas” message is truly inspiring. We are stronger together and must protect each other, just like in team basketball. By the way, playing basketball legends in my free time, strategizing and motivating teammates, always gives me a sense of strength too.
ResponderEliminarThe courage of the Mirabal sisters is truly timeless. Their story is a powerful reminder to never let anyone silence our dreams or break our spirit. It’s about finding the strength to rise, to be free, and to support others in their fight, much like true Basketball Stars who inspire us to be our best. A moving tribute to their legacy.
ResponderEliminarWhat a powerful tribute to the Mirabal sisters and the spirit of resistance against Trujillo. The call to break chains and refuse silence resonates today—whether in activism, art, or even the teamwork and courage seen in games like Basketball Stars. Your verses remind us that dignity and freedom are daily choices. May we all carry that “Siempre vivas” energy into our communities, refusing fear and nurturing hope.
ResponderEliminarReading this tribute to the Mirabal sisters deeply moved me. Their courage in the face of dictatorship is inspiring, reminding us of the ongoing fight against violence towards women.
